Play & Praise

is held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 1.30-2.30pm, in term time in St Peter's. It is a short informal service for pre-school children (babies and toddlers) and their parents/carers. Action songs, stories, craft and prayers, followed by refreshments. All are welcome.

'See & Know' Baby & Toddler Group

This group for babies, toddlers and their parents or carers meets in St John's Church Hall each Friday in term at 1.30-2.45pm. Refreshments available, and a wide selection of toys for the children. Adults £1, children 50p.

St John's Sunday Club (3-10s)

meets in St John's Church Hall on Sundays in term during the 9.30am service on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month. The children join the congregation in church later in the service during communion.

St John's Lazers (11-14s)

The Lazers meet in Guilden Sutton Methodist Church on Sundays in term during the 9.30am service on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month. They join the congregation in church later in the service during communion. Pictured is a full scale model of the ark of the covenant which they made when learning about the Old Testament.

St Peter's Sunday School meets in St Peter's Church at 11am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month in term time. They made the banner pictured here after the 2004 "Champions" holiday club.

St Peter's Lazers (11-14s)

meet at 11am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month in term in the home of a leader.

15+

meet on a Sunday evening in someone's home, 7.30-9.30pm, for worship, bible study and fellowship, and is comprised of young people aged 15+ from both parishes. There are occasional social events, or the group may plan and lead evening worship in church. During late June and July the time is used for preparation for the summer holiday club.

Quest

Quest is for a small group of children who meet on a Saturday afternoon in the home of Jackie & Nigel Tait. It is particularly accessible to children with autism and other disabilities. It is a novel approach, pioneered by Jackie. More background may be found here . The children engage in a range of craft and community activities which are designed to reinforce the learning.

Family Services

Children are welcome at all services, but the Family Services are often found the easiest to attend with young children, especially if they are not very used to church. St Peter's Family Service is held on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 11am. St John's Family Service is held on the 1st Sunday of the month at 11am in Guilden Sutton Village Hall.

Holiday Club











The "J team" Holiday Club has been held in the summer holidays for a week for many years, in either Guilden Sutton or Mickle Trafford primary school. Around 100 primary school age children attend each morning 10am-12.30pm for games, singing, crafts, Bible stories and drama, all with lots of fun and led by a dedicated team including many young people. This year (30 Jul-3 Aug) the theme will be Pyramid Rock.

St John's Music Group

The singing at St John's Family Services is led by a music group including piano, brass, violins, clarinets, flutes and recorders. Both children and adults take part and new members are always welcome.
